Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1725-1746.

Walnut tall-case clock. The hood has a molded cornice with blind fretwork in the frieze, turned three-quarter columns at the front corners, turned quarter columns at the rear corners and a glazed door with a square opening. Waist with cove molding at the top and a rectangular case door with an ovolo molded edge and a circular glazed peephole. Box base with cove and ovolo moldings at the top. Composite brass dial with applied chapter ring with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, and applied cast ornament in the spandrels. Inside the chapter ring there is an applied seconds dial, a calendar aperture, and punched ornament. The chapter ring is signed "Peter Stretch Philadelphia." Engraved border on dial plate. Eight day movement.
